On 11th November at 11am, our school stopped to remember all the people who have died or suffered during wars around the world.
We wore (and made) poppies to remember the flowers which grew in the fields after World War 1 and had a minute's silence as a mark of respect.
Year 4 attended a service with members of our local community, led by Mother Christine in Paddington Cemetery. Members of the Year 4 class read prayers and bible passages to help the community remember why we gathered together on this date.
Both services ended with listening to "The Last Post" played on the bugle and with a prayer shared together.
Well done to all of our children for showing such respect for those who have gone before us.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
