Dear parents - please see the list below of extra-curricular activities hosted by BMS this coming term. Some activities will be face to face when possible and others will continue online.

BMS SpringFest 2021
Our BMS ensembles have been online for a year! Please join us online on Monday 19th April, 6pm. Come along to our online concert and spot pupils from your school! Videos will also be available after the event, so please sign up to receive links to these in case you can’t join us live.

Online Opportunities for Pupils
Over 50 families have taken part this term, please continue to promote.
Following last term’s huge success, we will be continuing to run weekly group lessons ONLINE for children to learn the recorder alongside their parent/carer(s). The sessions will include recorder skills, music reading, games, partner/family activities, improvisation, composition and a range of musical styles.
Classes are for children in Year 2 and above with no previous musical experience necessary.

Songwriting and Composing for Film & Games (Yr.6 - Yr.13)
After the success of last term’s launch, we have decided to expand in the Summer Term to include the following:

Online Theory and New Music’sCool Musicianship Classes
Music'sCool Musicianship Level 1 - Wednesdays 5pm - 5:45pm
Music’sCool Musicianship Classes are a new and exciting offer from BMS aimed at students looking to develop their all-round musicianship skills. This will cover both theory and aural skills, delivered in a fun & interactive way! 9,000 Brent children are currently taught by our BMS Music'sCool team in schools. These new classes will take your child's learning to the next level using the same teaching methods and aspects of the Kodaly approach.
These classes are suitable for Music’sCool “Ready Pupils” in Yr.3+
Theory Classes - Grade 2+
If you have not already signed up for online theory lessons, be quick - places are limited! The deadline to apply for the summer term is Friday 26th March. Existing students must sign up quickly or risk losing their place!
