Stars of the Week - 4th July 2025

  Golden Learning Golden Values
St. Joseph Simon has been working hard in Maths and English. He followed the instructions and the daily routine the whole week. Well done, Simon!  Zion for helping the adults and his peers. He has been sharing his favourite toys and looking after the little ones in our classroom. Well done, Zion!
St. Nicholas
St. George Miguel – In today story map lesson, Migue was on a roll with his ideas! He used full sentences and tried to use more interesting verbs in each sentence. Well done 😊 Malik - Malik was nominated by a friend who said that when they hurt themselves outside, Malik ran to the rescue. He stayed with them until the teacher came and helped them uso thank you Malik!
St. Andrew Mishal, Abdulrauf and Mateo have consistently demonstrated a 'Going for Gold' attitude towards learning and making excellent choices. Miss Daniel has been impressed to see them maintaining focus and enthusiasm even in the final weeks of term! Keep up the fantastic work!"  Naya has demonstrated exceptional kindness and compassion when a friend and Miss Daniel weren't feeling well. Her thoughtful checks-in, hugs and kind words brightened everyone's day.
St. Paul

Over the past week we have been writing our own (not so happy) versions of “the three little pig's” story. The whole class has shown great improvement in their writing and have really shown their creativity.

Well done Year 3.

Yehia is always making good choices in class and around the school. He treats all members of his community with kindness and respect and I have even been told by one of the lovely ladies who help clean the classroom that he opens the door for her when she is carrying things.

St. Elizabeth
St. Peter This week’s Year 6 student who has been consistently Going for GOLD with faith in Learning has been nominated because of their Wisdom. He has spent this year battling to manage his distractions in class – but has recently shown enough Wisdom and Respect for his own learning to recognise that he can independently move himself to a ‘safe’ seat to focus on his work. Well done, Kodey – that’s a huge step in the right direction!  😊

My choice for today’s most excellent role model is Rodrigo.  Today his Perseverance at the Triathlon event was fantastic to watch, but not only that…

I know it is not one we usually name as one of our Christian values even though the bible is filled with such stories, but I would also like to celebrate Rodrigo’s Courage.  Rodrigo suffers badly with aquaphobia, and is extremely anxious when he is even just near water; yet today he overcame that fear and completed the first challenge in the triathlon – the swimming pool.  I can not express how proud I felt watching him fight his fear. A HUGE well done, Rodrigo.  😊
