Remote Learning Offer

Remote Learning at Christ Church School

The policy above outlines the times when your child may need to access remote learning.

Examples of such times would be:

  • if your child has a suspension from school
  • fi your child is absent from school for a long period of time due to illness

or it may be if pupils cannot access the school buildings due to a crisis, such as was faced during the pandemic.

During Remote learning periods, will provide links to online learning each day and will (in longer cases of absence) liaise with parents and pupils through online meetings.

Where large groups of pupils have a need to access remote learning, the teachers will record video lessons and host live lessons where possible using Microsoft Teams. Instructions on accessing this will be given at the time.

Where an individual child has a need to access remote learning, the teacher will not be available to record lessons and so the content will be provided through links to Oak National Academy.

Each day there will be a minimum of 3 hours learning posted for the children.

Children are also expected during times of remote learning to continue with the daily basics of learning. Please see the tables below for activities, such as reading, number work and spelling which must also be covered daily.

We know that working at home can be tricky; we've offered lots of remote resources but we understand that this might be a lot! If you're not quite sure how to structure your day, here's a suggested to-do list. Keep it really simple but most importantly, try to maintain a routine!

Please do contact us if you would like any further guidance.
