Stars of the Week - 13th June 2025
Golden Learning | Golden Values | |
St. Joseph | Simon has been working hard in Maths and English. He followed the instructions and the daily routine the whole week. Well done, Simon! | Zion for helping the adults and his peers. He has been sharing his favourite toys and looking after the little ones in our classroom. Well done, Zion! |
St. Nicholas | ||
St. George | Year 1 for their excellent work in their phonics check this week. |
Skii missed our story map lesson, so she did not know the story of The Lonely Beast very well. However, when we started to write, she persevered and gave it a good go. Well done, Skii! |
St. Andrew | Ryzza has been going for GOLD with her handwriting and is making great progress in writing cursively. It's amazing to see that 80% of her writing is now joined up! |
Despite finding challenges initially, Selina has persevered making good progress in working out fractions of a quantity by using worked examples to support her learning. Keep it up!
Both Janat and Antoine have shown amazing perseverance in their spelling tests, working so hard to learn new words even when it gets tricky. Well done. |
St. Paul | Daniel and Issa have been coming up with brilliant ideas and made a lot of effort with their descriptive writing about ‘The Lost Happy Endings’. |
Celestia - For always showing respect to both adults and her friends by making wise choices throughout every school day. She also shows her wisdom every lesson when sharing her thoughts in class.
|
St. Elizabeth | Tiago - for giving learning his best. Mrs Khan has noted a massive improvement in this person’s behaviour. Keep it up Tiago |
Adam - For not settling for the basic. For trying to improve and do the best possible persuasive letter. For listening to advice on how to improve his work. Israa - Nominated by Victoria: Compassion & Friendship For being kind and helping a friend in their time of need. |
St. Peter | Whether working independently, in pairs or groups... or offsite, Amelio is a Christ Church student who puts a huge amount of effort into ‘being a good learner’. He listens, thinks and acts perfectly in line with the learning he is focused on. Keep that going in secondary school, Amelio, and you will do well. | Whilst off site at the National Archives this week, I had people who working at the archives approach me to praise Christ Church Year 6s behaviour and respect of the building, specifically pointing out Chyna, Logan & Christian as fantastic role models for other visiting schools! Well done – a huge compliment to receive. |
