Training for support staff so that they are engaging pupils in activities and games during playtimes and lunchtimes. |

All support staff will be trained to support their understanding, confidence in organising games, and activities for pupils during lunchtime and playtime so that they are spending the majority of their time engaged in exercise. |
This should be a 1-year cost. Training can continue in-house following this. |
Children are engaged in playing a variety of games, including ball games, circle games, skipping and running games. Playground incidences are low and are generally accidental. |

Cost of Sports Day held at Willesden Sports Centre

Well-organised and supported event for children from Reception – Year 6. Children participated in a carousel of 7 different activities, including, running, jumping and throwing events. |

Well-kept and good standard of equipment encourages the children to play well and also to stay safe whilst using the equipment. |

Virtual Balanceability Learn to Cycle training sessions |

Teaching the younger children to cycle using the balance bikes method – this should encourage more cycling to and from school |
This should be a 1-off cost. Following the training, the bikes will belong to school and there will be a member of staff to continue the programme. |
More children becoming confident in cycling proficiency – re-establish link with bikeability/ cycling proficiency companies. |

Swimming cost |

Swimming has been taught from Y2 – 6 traditionally. By the end of Year 4, our expectation is that all children should reach the expected standard of 25m. Year 5 & 6 swimming lessons continue in order to support this. |
