The National Tutoring Programme (NTP) has been set up by the Department for Education (DfE) over the last year in order to help schools and children catch up on any learning which has been lost or held back due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Every school in the country has been awarded funding on order to provide 15 hours of extra support for children in the basic subjects (English and Mathematics) in order to close any gaps in learning.
Christ Church (Brondesbury) CE Primary School is using this funding to provide small group tuition in groups of 1 teacher to 3 pupils. In the first instance (whilst the country remains in lockdown) this tuition will happen online.
Our NTP partners, who will be delivering the programme are a company called Randstad.
Any tutor delivering the NTP for Randstad will be a qualified teacher who has had extra training in delivering the national catch-up programme and in delivering learning online.
