Message from our local MP

Georgia Gould m.p. meeting to gather views on SEND provision
Over the past few months, I've been travelling across the country in my role as Minister for School Standards, meeting with young people, parents, teachers, health workers and charities to discuss how we can work together to improve outcomes for Children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
These conversations have been shaping the upcoming Government Schools White Paper on SEND Reforms, ensuring those with lived experience are at the heart of these proposals. As your local MP, I'm hosting a session in the constituency to ensure our perspectives in Queen's Park and Maida Vale are part of this conversation too!
If you have personal or professional experience of SEND and would like to share your views, then I'd love you join us.
The session is on Friday 16th January from 11:30am - 1:30pm
To express your interest in attending please fill in your details via the link here - QPMV Send Conversation Registration Form
We will aim to confirm your place as soon as possible and will send full event details, including the location, to the email address you provide.
Please note that this is a constituency event so please only sign up if you live, work or are in education in the Queen's Park and Maida Vale Constituency. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis subject to the venue capacity.
If you are unable to make it on the day then we still want to hear from you! You can share your views through the Department For Education's SEND Consultation Page or by writing to me at georgia.gould.mp@parliament.uk. Please note that the deadline for submission to the consultation is next Friday the 16th January. There will also be another opportunity to share views on the proposals outlined in the Schools White Paper following its release.
I look forward to hearing from you
Kind regards
Georgia
