International Day & Food Festival

Wednesday 21st October 2026

Dear all,

we would like to announce our annual International Day here at Christ Church to be held on Wednesday 21st October.

During the day we encourage children to wear traditional clothing from your family's heritage (yes - Mr. Kelly will probably put his kilt on again 😉) to help us remember all of the countries that our community here represents.

From 2.30pm, our PSA will be hosting the International Food Festival, where they invite you to bring a traditional dish from your heritage to share with the community.

As with last year, to raise money for the PSA, plates of food will cost £5.00 (and it will be interesting to see how many different varieties can be piled on one plate at a time...)

In the next few days, the PSA will put a blank list on the noticeboard at the front of the school. Please sign up with your name and the type of food you would be willing to donate to this fun event.

On the day of the event, we would ask that your dish is clearly labelled with a list of ingredients, in order to alert anyone who may have allergies or intolerances.

We look forward to seeing the children in their traditional costumes (and adults too when they join us in the afternoon) and to sharing some of your amazing food from around the world.
