Each week, we nominate 2 children from each class for recognition of how they are upholding our vision and values.

Year 1	Hussain - Going for gold Hussain has worked very hard this week on his behaviour. He has listened to advice and is now showing good listening skills during lessons.	Ellie - Perseverance Ellie has persevered in writing this week. She has shown good efforts to include capital letters and full stops.
Year 2	Malik – going for gold with maths. Worked very hard and did well in his sats	Issa - For showing wisdom. Issa has listened to advice and has turned his behaviour around and had an excellent week.
Year 3	Lucyanah – Going for Gold For displaying great oracy skills and articulating her ideas well when discussing our current text in English about immigration. .	Clara – Perseverance Despite finding some aspects of Maths challenging, Clara has persevered and made good progress in her fraction knowledge and written work this week. Well done! .
Year 4	Ayat – Going for Gold I have been especially impressed with Ayat’s hard work and progress in English this week. She was able to come up with some brilliant similes and metaphors in preparation for her free verse poem. Well done!	Jasmine – perseverance Jasmine has really persevered in maths this week and now has a very strong understanding of decimals. Well done!
Year 5	The whole class– Going for gold and perseverance I have been incredibly happy with Year 5, this week in maths we have completed all the ‘negative numbers’ unit, and we are halfway through completing the Volume unit. I am proud that I can award this to all of Year 5, as my final learning and values appreciation. Please keep up the stamina and perseverance for the rest of the weeks to come!
Year 6	Eron - Going for Gold with Faith and Wisdom This week Y6 have been focusing on constructing an outstanding non-chronological on the causes of WWI. During these lessons all of the children have engaged extremely well, but none more so than Eron. His work ethic and focus has been exemplary in every lesson. Definitely Going for Gold with Faith and Wisdom, well done!	Eron, Ahn-am, Sophia & Lorena - The perseverance shown by these children during Thursday’s remote learning was outstanding. Even though they were not in class with me on Wednesday to receive instruction and resources for their learning at home, these children still logged in to our Zoom, engaged with all of the learning discussions, took notes and had a go at the learning they could do independently using WhatsApp and Zoom chat with their peers. Excellent perseverance and drive guys – well done.
